Housing
We are able to accommodate housing reservations starting around Tuesday after Memorial Day until the first Saturday in August.
We do not offer housing accommodations for individual guests that are not registered through a group.
For Columbia undergraduate students seeking summer housing, please visit housing.columbia.edu/content/summer-housing.
Amenities vary by building. Visit our locations page to see the list of amenities available by building. All summer buildings are equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
The Summer Group Services request form is available from October 1st through May 1st.
Please see our Columbia Summer Group Housing locations for this coming season.
The rates are the same for doubles and singles.
Summer group participants are not permitted guests regardless of University affiliation.
If you anticipate arriving after your scheduled check-in time, please refer to the check-in instructions email you previously received. We have included your specific next steps for late arrival in that message.
Dining
Changes are allowed to be made up to two weeks prior to arrival on campus. No changes are allowed past this date barring extenuating circumstances.
To ensure the health and safety of all our guests and to comply with Department of Health guidelines, we strictly prohibit outside food in the dining halls.
No. To ensure we have adequate seating and food for all groups, dining hall assignments are carefully managed based on capacity. Participants will only have access to their specifically assigned dining hall.
You are always welcome to add participants. However, because your estimated headcount is used to determine our staffing levels and food production, we do not allow headcount reductions within two weeks of your arrival on campus.
We provide full service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. The exact hours of operation are finalized in early April once we have assessed the overall activity, schedules, and dining needs of all our summer conference groups.
